| Climate | A country of an oceanic climate, Kiribati is in the dry season from May through October with the northeastern, and in the rainy season from November through April when strong western winds blows in. Annual precipitation varies from year to year, but as a reference, it is 1500 mm in Tawara and 700 mm in Christmas Island. Temperature change is minimal, ranging from 25 to 33℃. Owing to the constant sea breeze, the heat is not the steaming kind unlike Japan, but the sun is scorching and the reflected heat is bad enough. Be sure to bring your sunglasses, hat and towels. Sensitive skin needs to be protected appropriately. |
