| VISA INFORMATION |
|
A visa is required for entry by all visitors traveling to Kenya with the exception of those who fall under the following categories:
- Holders of re-entry passes to Kenya;
- Citizens of those countries with which Kenya has a reciprocal visa abolition Agreement; (Ethiopia, San Marino, Turkey and Uruguay).
- The following countries with which Kenya had reciprocal visa abolition agreements have since revoked the agreements :GERMANY, ITALY, DENMARK, NORWAY, SWEEDEN, FINLAND, SPAIN, and REPUBLIC OF IRELAND. Nationals of these countries should NOTE THAT KENYA has reciprocated by imposing VISAS on these countries.
- Multiple Entry Visas are normally issued for a period of six months.

| VISA REQUIREMENTS |
|
- Valid passport with sufficient number of unused pages for endorsements abroad. Passport must be signed and valid for at least six months.
- Visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant.
- Two recent passport size photographs attached to the application form.
- Valid round trip ticket or a letter from your travel agent certifying that the applicant holds prepaid arrangements.
- A self-addressed stamped envelope for express mail, courier, registered mail, etc., if the visa is urgently required. Metered stamps are not acceptable.
- Home and work telephone numbers.
PLEASE ENSURE THAT THE VISA FORM IS CORRECTLY FILLED, PHOTOGRAPHS ENCLOSED AND THE CORRECT FEE ENCLOSED BEFORE SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION TO ENSURE PROMP PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION.

| REFERRED VISAS |
|
Applications from nationals of the following countries will be referred to Nairobi for approval: Afghanistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Libya, Mali, Nigeria, North Korea, Pakistan, Senegal, Somalia, Stateless persons, Sudan, Tajikistan and North Yemen.
- All the above visa requirements apply.
- Invitation letter from the host or organization to be visited in Kenya.
- A recommendation letter from your employer or school if you are a student.
- An additional non-refundable referral fee of U.S. $10.00., J.Y. 1,250yen.

| HEALTH |
|
- Immunization against yellow Fever and Cholera are recommended.
- Anti-Malaria pills are recommended for those visiting tropical regions.

| IMPORT OF PETS |
|
- License for pets required.
- A request letter providing the importer's name and address.
- The pet's name.
- Current Health Certificate from the Veterinary Doctor.
- The fee is US$ 50.00 (JY6,000) payable in cash to Kenya Embassy.
- A return self-addressed envelope, prepaid certified, express or registered mail.
