EGYPT TO HOST THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM ON THE MIDDLE EAST IN MAY 2008
President Mubarak has invited His Excellency Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda to participate in the upcoming meeting of the World Economic Forum on the Middle East to be held in Sharm El Sheikh from 17 to 19 May 2008.
The meeting will be a major opportunity to review recent Egyptian economic reform achievements by world decision-makers, businessmen and media representatives. The meeting also represents an occasion for reiterating world confidence in the stable and secure environment related to investment in Egypt.
Egyptfs pivotal role in seeking peace and security in the Middle East and around the world has been instrumental in increasing the number of participants in the World Economic Forum meeting held in Sharm El Sheikh in May 2006.
President Mubarak also sent a letter to His Excellency Shinzo Abe Former Prime Minister of Japan, to express deep appreciation for his dedicated efforts and sustained friendship that have resulted in strengthening Egypt-Japan relations under His Excellencyfs leadership as Prime Minister of Japan.
