EGYPTIAN - JAPANESE COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF E-GOVERNMENT

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Darwish Minister of State for Administrative Reform visited Japan in October 2007 and met with senior officials of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication to discuss issues of mutual interest related to the cooperation in the field of e-government.

H.E. Dr. Ahmed Darwish proposed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding MoU between the Ministry of State for Administrative Reform of Egypt and its counterpart Ministry in Japan. Moreover, H.E. Dr. Ahmed Darwish extended an invitation to H.E. Mr. Hiroya Masuda Minister of Internal Affairs and Communication of Japan to visit Egypt to discuss more on how best to promote relations between the two countries in the abovementioned and other relevant fields.
