Foreign visitors who wish to visit this « land of hospitality » where the people are refined and sensitive, must have a valid passport and visa, an international vaccination card certifying that the visitor has had the yellow fever jab in the past ten years. These two documents must be shown when entering Burkina Faso (either at the airport or the road border towns).
In Japan, the Embassy of Burkina Faso in Tokyo will process the visa application within two working days. Please make a reservation by phone before going to the Embassy to apply for your visa.

- One (1)application form ( The applicant’s signature is required)
- Two photographs (5 x 4 cm) * color or black & white as your choice
- Photocopy of the air tickets on Itinerary issued by the travel Agency.
- Passport (validity up to at least three months from expiry date)
- Letter of invitation issued by the inviting local company / Institution or individual
- Visa Fee: 3.320yen for the validity of 3 months with 1 entry, 4.960yen for 3 months with multiple entries, 6.600yen for 6 months with 1 entry and 9.879yen for 6 months with multiple entries (ordinary-passport holder only)
- For the purpose of sightseeing, a garantee letter by the traveller or by the travel agency is required.
